Healthcare professionals’ art on show at McGilps in Gourock

The exhibition, featuring art created by staff from University Hospital Wishaw, is being showcased at the McGilp’s pop-up shop in Kempock Street.

The show runs from Thursday, September 25 until Saturday, September 27 and is open between 10am and 5pm each day.

Among the art on display includes photography by Douglas Steele, whose work is inspired by childhood holidays to Millport.

Linsay Powell will also be showcasing her collection of street photography and original artwork.

There will also be decorated birdboxes and small seascapes from Bute.

Visitors will also have the chance to create their own artwork, using materials provided, during Which Kraft sessions from 12pm to 2pm and 3pm to 5pm each day, and take their creation home in return for a small donation.

The exhibition is being held to raise funds and awareness of the work carried out by the charity Breast Cancer Now.

It is being held in the lead-up to a work event for Wear it Pink on Friday, October 24, at University Hospital Wishaw.
