The displays have been installed across Harrogate as part of a series of public realm improvements funded by Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID), aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and promoting Harrogate as a must-visit destination.
The latest additions include artwork along Cheltenham Road by local artist Tom Tommings, who created a colourful mural celebrating elements the town is known for, such as wellbeing, floral displays and spa waters.
Bethany Allen, operations and projects executive at Harrogate BID, said: “Through these eye-catching public realm projects, we’re continuing our work to create the best first impression possible for visitors to Harrogate.Yorkshire Day bunting in Harrogate (Image: Supplied)
“We deliver these additional projects to not only add to our town’s heritage, but to strengthen the environment for businesses, residents and visitors alike.
“Harrogate is always adorned with bright, vibrant colours for the summer months and we’re proud to add to this through our latest campaigns.”
In addition to the new artwork, fresh flag bunting was installed in key locations across the town centre in time to celebrate Yorkshire Day on August 1.
The colourful flags now line busy shopping streets including Cambridge Street and Oxford Street.
Harrogate BID said the projects are part of its ongoing commitment to making the town centre clean, safe and attractive for all.
The organisation believes that first impressions are vital, and its team is focused on developing new schemes to support Harrogate’s reputation as a welcoming and vibrant destination.
Other summer campaigns include the Floral Summer of Celebration and the popular Lego Trail, both of which have drawn praise from residents and visitors alike.
Both schemes feature creative displays and interactive elements throughout the town centre.
Harrogate BID said it is always exploring new ways to brighten the high street and support businesses through creative and engaging projects.
