Elon Musk’s travails with his AI chatbot (“Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot praises Adolf Hitler on X”, Report, July 9) calls to mind the Wallace and Gromit movie, Vengeance Most Fowl.
In this film Wallace’s enemy, Feathers McGraw, gets into the code for the inventor’s helpmate garden gnome, Norbot, changing its disposition to evil and unleashing all sorts of mayhem. You report that Musk blamed his recent problem on Grok having been “too eager to please” and he moved the dial to correct this apparent fault resulting in a slew of antisemitic and Hitler-praising posts. A case of life imitating art, but not in a good way.
