From humble beginnings in 2005, Art in the Pen has grown into one of the North’s leading art and craft events.
What began as a small group of artists transforming livestock pens into pop-up galleries has evolved into a vibrant, large-scale event showcasing more than 200 handpicked exhibitors. The unique setting and informal atmosphere have continued to capture the imagination of thousands of visitors from across the UK.
The 2025 event promises another unforgettable weekend filled with originality, talent and creative flair. With an overwhelming number of applications again this year, the selection panel had the tough task of curating a diverse and exciting line-up. Visitors can expect an inspiring mix of fine art, photography, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, metal, sculpture, mixed media, glass, homeware and much more.
A firm favourite among returning visitors, the event’s partnership with The Art Shop Skipton continues to thrive. They’ll once again bring pop-up retail spaces, free artist demonstrations and workshops.
