The gallery, where Mr Mason has been exhibiting since 2009, lauded his oil paintings for making him one of their most popular artists.

Born in 1971 in Newcastle-under-Lyme, he found his love for landscapes during childhood camping trips to Scotland.

The experiences fuelled Mr Mason’s adventurous spirit, which continues to define his work.

Rejecting the conventional artist’s studio, he has become a prominent ’plein air’ artist, a rare breed in the contemporary art world.

He is known for venturing through remote terrains in search of the perfect view, painting directly from life in the open air.

This method helps him to capture the landscape in a way few others can.

Mr Mason’s skill in bringing life and movement to the landscape is evident in each piece.

His ability to work quickly and deliberately results in paintings that are lauded as conveying the power and majestic beauty of the Lake District.

His use of colour and light is described as giving each scene a sense of immediacy, as if the viewer is standing beside him, witnessing the landscape.

The upcoming exhibition will feature 54 new paintings, each completed over the past two years.

Prices for these works range from £350 to £4,600.

The gallery, located in Greystoke Ghyll, near Penrith, will open the exhibition from 10am today (Saturday, October 4).

The collection, a testament to Mr Mason’s dedication to capturing the beauty of the Lake District, will be on display for just over two weeks, closing on Sunday, October 19.

For those unable to attend in person, the exhibition catalogue is available online at beckstonesartgallery.co.uk.

The gallery expressed their anticipation for the exhibition, highlighting the artist’s unique ability to create landscapes that invite viewers to lose themselves in the beauty of nature.
