Worcester art studios to host youth exhibition and workshops

The Artery Studios, in Worcester, will welcome visitors to the Worcester 100 Youth Open Call Exhibition on Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, celebrating emerging young talent from across the region.

Across the exhibition weekend, four free creative workshops for under-18s will also be held, including graffiti and art sessions.

The Graff ‘a’ Can with Rouse Signs workshop is a graffiti-inspired workshop where people can customise and decorate their own spray can using bold colours, lettering, patterns and techniques.

Rave Art with Sounds Omazing is a high-energy, expressive session where music, movement and mark-making collide in a freestyle burst of creativity.

The Teen Art Social will give young artists the chance to connect, create, experiment, and enjoy the welcoming environment of the studio’s regular teen art meet-up.

The Graffiti Workshop with Mr Sce will be an introduction to graffiti art guided by established street artist Mr Sce, exploring style, colour, tagging and individual expression.

The workshops are free of charge, but pre-booking is needed due to limited spaces.

As well as the four workshops, the exhibition will be open from 10am until 5pm on both days, giving people the chance to look at the young artists’ work.

The Artery Studios said: “We’re thrilled to open our doors for the Worcester 100 Youth Exhibition.

“There is so much talent among our young people, and this event is all about giving them a platform, celebrating their creativity, and inviting the community to come and support them.”

The exhibition is supported by The Arts Society Worcester and Worcester City Council.
