Christine Collister will visit The Beehive Theatre on Friday, September 5, bringing a unique blend of music and art inspired by the folklore of the Isle of Man.
Her voice, described by The Times as “personally delivered by God”, will perform alongside her Children of the Sea project, which includes paintings and original songs from 2024.
After receiving positive feedback for both her album and its companion book, Christine has decided to bring her audience closer to her “magical world”.
This year, she is going one step further and sharing new material from the same theme, with a new collection of video storytelling created for earlier fan favourites.
Her signature mix of soul, folk, blues, jazz, and country continues to defy genres and captivate audiences worldwide.
The Beehive will be exclusively displaying her art pieces to accompany her performance.
From performing the BBC theme The Life and Loves of a She-Devil to collaborating with Richard Thompson, Clive Gregson, and others, Christine has carved a unique place in the music industry.
After 42 years, 26 albums, and countless sold-out performances, she remains a unique performer.
This year’s performance is set to be a visually rich celebration of stories, both old and new, at The Beehive, Honiton.
Q Magazine once called her “one of the finest grown-up vocalists on the planet”.
Christine said: “It’s a joy to return to The Beehive in Honiton—a venue that radiates both warmth and charm.
“This performance will be especially meaningful, as it is the only show on my September tour to be accompanied by an exhibition of prints of the artwork from Children of the Sea.
“These evocative illustrations were created in harmony with songs inspired by the folklore and mystery of my homeland, the Isle of Man.
“I’m delighted they will be seen in their own right, before joining me on stage for a wonderful evening of music, story, and song.”
