A popular event will be “bigger and more dynamic than ever” as it celebrates its 10th anniversary in the city.
The Art Yard Sale is back for Brighton Fringe 2025, marking 10 years of “bringing the best in contemporary art to the heart of Brighton”.
For one day only, on Sunday, June 1, from 11am to 5pm at Jubilee Square, art lovers will have the opportunity to meet their favourite artists, discover exclusive pieces, and “experience the thrill of buying art directly from the creators”.
This much-loved event is known for its “vibrant, interactive atmosphere” and commitment to making contemporary art accessible to all.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, this year’s Art Yard Sale will be “bigger and more dynamic than ever”, featuring art activities throughout the day, offering opportunities to engage with artists, witness live art demonstrations, try their hand at live pottery, and easily arrange to have their Art Yard Sale artworks framed on site.
Art Yard Sale founder, Lindsay Alkin is delighted to bring back the Art Yard Sale under her new company, Kaos Projects.
“Reaching our 10th year is a huge milestone, and we can’t wait to celebrate with the incredible artists and visitors who have made this event so special”, she said.
“The Art Yard Sale has always been about breaking down barriers between artists and collectors, and this year’s event will be a true celebration of creativity, connection, and community.”
Chrisie Nimenko, Dave Pop, Jayson Lilley, Rebecca Strickson and The Postman are just a few of dozens of artists taking part in the event.
Participating artist Ruth Mulvie said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking part in my very first Art Yard Sale – especially on its 10th anniversary.
“It’s such a brilliant celebration of creativity in the heart of Brighton. I can’t wait to chat with collectors, share my work in person, and soak up the energy of the day.
“There’s nothing quite like meeting people face-to-face and seeing their reactions to your art. It’s going to be a really special one!”
