A leading Japanese Aikido instructor visited Preston Aikido club as part of a tour of the UK and Ireland.
Shihan Atsushi Mimuro, who has over 50 years of experience, was invited by the club on Winckley Square along with his wife to host masterclasses for Preston’s students.
To thank Mimuro for his support, the modern Japanese martial arts group hosted a final celebration at Sai Surbhi in Fulwood.

Ian Cherry, 6th Dan Dojo Cho of Sakura Dojo, said: “It was a great honour for Preston Sakura Dojo to host a Japanese Shihan, and all our students turned out for the master class for two hours on a very hot summer evening. We were all very glad for a cold drink when we got to the restaurant.
