Heartfelt Art by Elaine Harris at Nothe Fort, Weymouth

Curated by Dorset artist Elaine Harris, Heartfelt gathers objects shared by local people — each accompanied by memories and reflections that reveal the emotional threads linking past and present.

Beginning on Saturday, March 14 and running to Sunday 15 March, the exhibition then continues over the following two weekends and will then be extended into the week, ending on Wednesday, April 1.

Visitors can find the displays on the underground level of Nothe Fort, where entry is included free with standard admission or an annual pass.

From sentimental trinkets to family heirlooms, the collection celebrates the stories that make these ordinary items extraordinary. Many are funny, nostalgic or moving, offering a glimpse into the lives and hearts of those who shared them.

Heartfelt forms part of Artwey’s Crossing Different Paths project, supported by Weymouth Town Council and Dorset Council, and also includes new works by Artwey artists inspired by the theme.
