A collective of Kildare artists will be exhibiting art which explores the “many wonders and and history of Kildare” in an exhibit, called ‘Tapestry of Kildare’ organised by PopUpArt Newbridge.
The exhibition will take place at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, launching on Friday 11 July at 6pm.
The PopUpArt Newbridge initiative is the brainchild of Newbridge-based landscape artist Eilis Kavanagh, which has had huge growth since its inception in 2018 – becoming an integral part of the fine art landscape in the county.
The exhibition runs until 1 August and brings together the work of ten artists who all share a strong connection to Kildare.
“Each artist has explored what makes the county meaningful to them within the county by committing to canvas the personal places and objects of interest in their county that inspire them; thereby demonstrating the spirit and many shades of Kildare,” said the event organisers.
People are welcome to attend the launch event, which promises to be an engaging evening of art and community.
