What to know
The campus will use the funds to add more state-of-the-art equipment, workshop events and professional speaker series, according to the news release. At LSC-Montgomery, the endowment and donated art pieces will help establish new avenues for learning, according to the release.
The six art pieces, donated by Jeffrey Kass and Holli and Shaheen Ladhani, include:
- Jeffrey Kass: 1955 Joan Miro lithograph, “Maternite,” and 1950 Marc Chagall lithograph, “Adam and Eve”
- Holli and Shaheen Ladhani: “Evening in December,” “London 2012 Olympics” and two untitled pieces.
“Significant endowments and donations have a powerful and lasting impact on the student experience,” LSC-Montgomery President De’ Reese Reid-Hart said. “They make scholarships possible, support professors in the classroom, fuel innovative learning opportunities and ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to succeed, both today and for generations to come.”
