Harbour Arts Centre exhibition focuses on digital inclusion

Running until Friday, September 5, the free exhibition in Irvine, entitled ‘Let’s Link’, showcases resources developed to promote access to digital technology.

The initiative was the result of a collaboration, funded by the Scottish Government, between the North Ayrshire Learning Disability Service, Scottish Care, and the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities.

The project focused on the creation of a suite of resources, collectively known as ‘Let’s Link’.

The exhibition is running until September 5 (Image: North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership) These resources, developed in the first half of this year, include guidance for organisations on promoting digital inclusion and practical tools to structure conversations about tech use with people with learning disabilities.

Dominic Jarrett, North Ayrshire learning disabilities development manager, said: “This has been an inspiring piece of work to be involved in, which has delivered some very practical resources.

“The North Ayrshire Learning Disability Service is extremely grateful to SCLD for offering us the opportunity to be involved in the project, and to all the other partners involved for the learning and positive collaboration that flowed from it.”
