Gorstella Gallery, located in the Cheshire village of Dodleston near Chester, is inviting art enthusiasts to view and purchase original works at its annual exhibition.

The gallery will host launch events on Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8, between 6.30pm and 9.30pm, complete with a drinks reception.

Viewings will also be available on Saturday, November 9, Sunday, November 10, Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, between 11am and 5pm.

Founded in 1990 by Peter and Klazien Bullivant, Gorstella Gallery aims to bring high-quality, affordable British art to the North West.

The gallery is now run by their daughter Bridget and her husband Stephen.

The unique space, converted from cow shippons, is part of Tudor Farm in Dodleston.

The autumn exhibition will showcase a variety of subjects, styles, and mediums from an array of artists.

Gallery owner Bridget Kimber said: “This is a fantastic mixed exhibition featuring new and exciting works by some of the UK’s finest artists.

“We are delighted to be opening the doors of the gallery once again and are looking forward to welcoming visitors old and new to our viewings.

“If you’re looking to purchase an original piece of artwork, either for yourself or as a Christmas gift for a loved one, our exhibition is sure to provide the perfect opportunity.”

The exhibition will include prints by Anita Klein, known for her handmade linocuts depicting family life.

Andrew Hood, who won the Gorstella Award for Fine Art in 1995, will also present his work.

The gallery will debut works by Viki Metzler, a freelance cartoonist, illustrator, and painter.

Other featured artists include Annie Williams, who has been exhibiting at the gallery since 1994, and Clare Shaughnessy, a Chester-based wildlife artist.

Born in the Wirral in 1963, Ms Shaughnessy has long been recognised as a leading figure in wildlife art, with her works exhibited nationally and three nominations for Wildlife Artist of the Year.
