Along with being able to display the immersive and large-scale works, the new gallery will also feature a rotating showroom that will feature changing themes throughout the year. Four will be the gallery’s debut theme: “Birdsong & Battle Cries.” The artists featured will be Kirsten Furlong, Cate Bridgen, Diana Stetson and Sarah Conti.

The expansion, Garibyan said, is part of her “mission to support Idaho’s creative community and enhance downtown Boise’s cultural vitality,” and the downtown Meridian gallery will continue to feature local and national artists, curation services and collector events.

“Boise benefits from a strong and growing arts community,” she said. “By opening this new space, we’re giving artists more opportunities to exhibit their work while creating an engaging destination that adds to the city’s cultural appeal for residents and visitors.”

A grand opening for the new downtown Boise Idaho Art Gallery is scheduled to be held on Nov. 6 from 5-9 p.m.. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

In addition to her work in the gallery space, Garibyan is co-publisher of The Art Guide of Ada County, which is a resource meant to connect artists, galleries and collectors.
