OCS’s new security monitoring centre officially opened today.
The company – formerly Atalian-Servest – decided to move its headquarters from Vicon House in Bury St Edmunds last year after outgrowing it.

It renovated a building – New Century House at The Havens, Ransomes Europark – which was formerly occupied by accountants BDO. It opened in April last year after a £1m investment.
It has now moved into a security centre next door after carrying out major works.
The building was fitted out to European Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Category 1 standards after a “significant investment”.
The centre uses advanced technology, 24/7 monitoring and intelligence-led response to protect customers across the UK.

It will provide centralised support and live monitoring to all OCS Security staff operating across customer sites nationwide.
The centre serves as the core hub for keyholding, guarding bookings, lone worker protection and out-of-hours helpdesk support.

OCS’s Security UK managing director Steven Moore said the new facility would provide customers with access to tailored intelligence and support designed around their operational needs.

“Through real-time threat analysis, proactive incident management and a resilient national infrastructure, we are helping businesses stay ahead of risk and operate with confidence,” he said.
It would also create local jobs and provide career opportunities, the company said.
OCS UK & Ireland is part of the OCS Group, is a global facilities management business with an annual turnover of more than £2.2bn employing more than 50,000 staff.
It provides includes cleaning, hard services, security, catering and facilities management to businesses in the private and public sectors.
