Oh Lucky Gifts opened to a select few last Friday for a special, ticket-only event, with it officially opening on Saturday at 3 Market Place, Southwold.
Jo Esson is the owner of the new shop and also created many of the items in the shop herself, with others being made by British artists and makers.
The successful opening of the shop was aided by the Southwold Sausage Walk, which took place on Sunday and saw roughly 1,500 Dachshunds descend on Southwold.
She said: “It’s been truly amazing. We had a brilliant weekend and met lots of sausage dogs and sold lots of sausage dog prints!”
This isn’t the only Mrs Esson’s only store, as she also has a shop in Tring, Hertfordshire, but wanted to open a shop in Southwold as she has family in the county, enjoys visits to the town, and a lot of her art is coastal-inspired.
Speaking about the town she said: “This week I’ve met lots of lovely locals and been welcomed into Southwold High Street.”
Some of the items she sells include paintings, prints and gifts, such as mugs and tea towels with some being personalised for Southwold.
