Peckham Digital, the South East London festival celebrating creative technology and digital art, returns from 16–19 October 2025 at Copeland Gallery with a bold programme that invites the public to explore, play, and participate in art and technology.
Now in its fourth year, Peckham Digital 2025 showcases a dynamic mix of hands-on workshops, live performances, artist talks, and an exhibition featuring 12 emerging and established digital artists working at the intersection of art, code, sound, and interactivity.
This year’s expanded programme includes:
- 10 workshops covering topics like quantum computing, making games, generative sound, computer vision, and browser-based experimentation – all designed to be accessible to curious beginners as well as tech-savvy creators.
- 7 talks by artists, curators, and technologists unpacking the social, aesthetic, and ethical questions at the heart of digital culture today.
- 6 performances blending sound, code, visuals, and embodiment – including live-coded music, algorithmic visuals, and drone flying.
- 3 tech demos showcasing creative tools and experimental platforms.
- A digital art exhibition featuring 12 artists working across deepfakes, speculative software, glitch aesthetics, and more.
- Network Terminal: Positioned alongside the talks, performances, and demos, Network Terminal will provide a unique opportunity for festival-goers to take home limited works from some of the city’s most exciting digital practitioners.
A festival for everyone, not just insiders
Peckham Digital continues to centre accessibility and openness, with many events offered for free or at low cost, and workshops designed to welcome newcomers to digital art. Whether you’re a code-curious person, a practising artist, or a local resident wondering what “creative technology” actually means, the festival promises entry points for all.
Co-directed by Bea Taylor Searle and Matt McDonnell, Peckham Digital is rooted in community spirit and open-source culture, with a mission to make digital art more visible, inclusive, and participatory.
“We believe digital art can give people more freedom in how they use and understand technology,” says co-director Bea Taylor Searle. “Peckham Digital is about helping people feel confident and curious, exploring creative tech tools in ways that work for them.”
A platform for emerging digital voices
Alongside headline artists, the programme spotlights early-career practitioners and underrepresented voices in digital art, and offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from artists and developers shaping new creative technologies.
This year’s festival takes place at the heart of Peckham in Copeland Gallery.
