Hampshire art group to hold exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier


50/50, based in Romsey and Chandler’s Ford, have showcased their latest creations ahead of their upcoming exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.

The exhibition will feature more than 70 original paintings and photographs, alongside mounted prints, greetings cards, and other art-based gifts.

The free-to-visit exhibition is open from the afternoon of Wednesday, August 27, until 3pm on Monday, September 22, in the gallery area at the Hillier Gardens visitor centre.

Sneak preview of new artwork ahead of exhibition at popular gardens (Image: Supplied) The group is made up of founders Roy and Gill Brophy, Rachel Chapell, Kev Sandall, Barry Fry, Catherine Wharton and Brian Whittaker.

They are joined this year by a new artist, Linda Penny, a pastel specialist who has previously exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London.

All the artists and photographers will be present at the exhibition, offering a chance to meet them and view their work, including many previously unseen pieces.
