Portland House will be open as part of Heritage Open Days (HODs).
From September 12 to 21, across the country, hundreds of intriguing events and new experiences happen as part of HODs, England’s largest festival of history and culture. This year’s theme is architecture – from bridges and buildings to beehives.
All Heritage Open Days events are free (some may require pre-booking due to limited numbers) including access to many sites that usually charge for admission
Overlooking Portland Harbour, art deco home Portland House is reminiscent of the old-school glamour of Hollywood, with a palm-fringed drive, original 1930s features, and carefully sourced period furniture.

It’s at 24 Belle Vue Road, Weymouth DT4 8RZ and is open from September 19 to 21, 10am to 4pm.
