Weston Wallz 2025 will take over the town from Saturday, July 19 to Sunday, July 27, transforming public spaces with 19 new large-scale murals and a full programme of free, family-friendly events.
Created by a mix of international and UK street artists, the murals will explore themes of protest, identity, and community.
Stephen Hayles, festival director, said: “Street art has always had the power to reflect the times we’re in.
“This year, we’re not just painting walls – we’re creating space for stories that often go unheard and we’re inviting the whole community to be part of that conversation.”
A highlight of this year’s festival is a collaboration with North Somerset’s Youth Justice and Prevention Service, giving young people a direct voice in the creation of public art.
Artist Kid Crayon will co-create a mural with youth participants, helping them express their experiences and ideas through street art.
Another mural will explore themes of migration, home, and shared futures.
Artist Aumairah will work alongside Refugees Welcome North Somerset.
A weekend of free creative workshops will take place at the Italian Gardens on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27.
Activities for all ages include MTN spray-painting with Jamel, character illustration with Ejits using POSCA pens, printmaking with Amy Hutchings, and hands-on crafts with Colourful Minds.
Families can also make floral art with Crafty Sew & So and join guided street art tours led by expert Lindsey D.
A drop-in Posca doodle hut and creative station will allow visitors to experiment with upcycling and spontaneous artwork.
Live painting will also be happening throughout the weekend, with more than 25 regional artists taking part in the S M Art Sprayjam.
This year’s artist line-up includes some of the biggest names in street art.
Dale Grimshaw, known for his emotive, politically charged portraits, will contribute a new mural.
Brazil’s L7Matrix will bring his vibrant, abstract realism to Weston’s streets.
Australia’s Sophi Odling will present large-scale work exploring youth and cultural identity.
HazardOne, one of the UK’s leading female street artists, returns with her powerful character-focused style.
Irish muralist Shauna, Brighton’s Snub23, and Carla James will also take part.
Shauna’s work draws on memory and place, while Snub23 blends robotic stencils with retro-futurist themes.
Carla James’ art celebrates femininity and cultural heritage through bold, symbolic imagery.
Emerging artists Jodie Haslam and Luke Knight will complete their first major public murals through the festival’s ScaleUP scheme, mentored by Bristol muralists Bex Glover and Andy Council.
Other artists contributing to the 2025 edition include Jenks, Jimmer Willmott, Kate Elkington, Michael Macqueen, Philth, Rosie McLay, and Sprite.
All workshops are free, but booking is encouraged due to limited space.

Weston Wallz is produced by Upfest in partnership with Weston Town Council, Super Culture, Arts Council England, POSCA, and MTN Spraypaint.
The festival is now in its fifth year.
