A Lifetime in Art by local artist Melvyn Gunn is being staged in the Yellow Gallery at the Riversley Park building and runs until 26 January, 2025.
Melvyn started drawing as a child, and he has not stopped creating since with the exhibition including painting, photography, computer-aided design, and collage.
There are landscapes, portraits, animals, and plenty of humour.
A frequent entrant to the Festival of Arts, some of the works have been responses to special categories encouraging him to try new techniques and subject matter.
Melvyn has settled into his style over the years but continues to experiment with different media inspired by his visits to galleries across the world.
Many of the works are for sale, and prices start from just £50.
Cllr Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities and Health, said:
“It’s great to see local talent on show, there is an amazing range of pictures in this exhibition all created by a local artist.
“I’m sure this display will be very popular.”
There are several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building. As always, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed.
